Meet the Characters – Jessie
Jessie Locke, Sebastian’s brother and lead singer of their rock band SURRENDER, loves his brother unconditionally. A frontman through and through, Jessie puts his whole heart into his work. He’s made every effort to make their band successful so that he can support his brother. He was the one most relieved by the changes he saw in his brother when Vanessa came into his life, though he’s never acknowledged it out loud. It’s that absolute devotion to Sebastian that makes his feelings for Vanessa so complicated. His workaholic attitude was born out of necessity but its gotten them far in life, earning the band three platinum albums, numerous awards and a dozen number one singles over the last fifteen years. Jessie loves hiking and travel but finds nothing more satisfying at the end of the day than having accomplished a goal, especially when that goal helps his family.

Meet the Characters- Vanessa
Vanessa Thibodeaux is a New Orleans born attorney whose best friend just happens to be a rockstar. She met Sebastian Locke, drummer for SURRENDER, when she moved to Los Angeles right after law school and their connection was instant and obvious to everyone around them. She’s in her thirties and single, a fact Vanessa has taken to blaming Sebastian for these days because of his overprotective ways. She’s gone with Sebastian on a few tour dates, more as an excuse to travel to places she’s always wanted to see, but prefers to stay off the fan’s radar given the large amount of time her and Sebastian spend together. She works hard and is fully on the partner track despite a few ‘minor’ setbacks. Her take no shit attitude has helped her maintain respect professionally. That same attitude came in handy when supporting Sebastian through his latest relapse and rehab stay. Her life is good and she’s happy with how things are right now despite her romantic frustrations.

Meet the Characters – Sebastian
MEET SEBASTIAN
Sebastian Locke has been in and out of trouble his whole life and seen more than his fair share of stints in rehab. When he and his brother, Jessie, moved to Los Angeles from Louisiana decades ago for a fresh start they founded their band SURRENDER. Everyone was relieved when his latest rehab visit seemed to stick, a fact Sebastian fully attributed to the support of his new best friend Vanessa. He credits drumming with saving his life in interviews but he and Jessie know it was really Vanessa who made the biggest difference for him, despite years of Jessie trying to save him. Sebastian is ridiculously appreciative of their fans for their part in making their rockstar dreams come true and often indulges in dalliances with groupies when on tour – even when he has a girlfriend. Despite all of this, the thing he’s most thankful for in life is the strength and support he finds in his friendship with Vanessa.
